Shakib Al Hasan – the brightest star in the sky of Bangladesh cricket is going to touch yet another milestone tomorrow. The celebrated all rounder will step into the field for his 150th one day international match for Bangladesh in the third and final encounter of the series against Pakistan.
He is the fourth Bangladeshi cricketer to touch this landmark; before him, Mohammad Ashraful, Abdur Razzak and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza achieved that feat. Made his debut in 2006, Shakib has already spent almost a decade to serve the nation in the cricket field.
Playing 149 one day matches so far, Shakib scored 4211 runs with an average of 34.80. The prolific all rounder also took 193 wickets with an economy rate of 28.37. He has the feat to be adjudged man of the match in three consecutive matches. He became the first ever cricketer to be number one all rounder in all formats of the game.
Shakib led Bangladesh for a significant time span and represented in the domestic leagues of India, West Indies and Australia with competency.
