Campus2Career starts its journey


Campus Reporter: The first youth focused online news portal in Bangladesh titled campus2career is launched. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the honorable State minister for ICT Division of Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, inaugurated the news portal on June 9, 2015 at BishwoShahittoKendro, Dhaka. He hoped that Campus2Career will contribute to the government’s initiative of building “Digital Bangladesh”.

The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Robaet Ferdous, Advisor of Campus2Career and a faculty of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of University of Dhaka. He remarked, “Paper-based civilization will extinct in the coming days, while internet-based or online civilization will flourish. Campus2Career realized the trend and timely joined the movement.”

Anjali Sarker, Executive Director of Campus2Career, presented the goal and objectives of the news portal. She mentioned Campus2Career will play a supportive role in the education and career development of 5 crore Bangladeshi youth. She also pointed out that the platform will be available in both Bangla and English.
Shantanu Mazumdar, Assistant Professor of the Department of Political Science at University of Dhaka, Brishty Shikdar, student of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as several students of BUET, Dhaka Medical College and University of Dhaka were present at the event.
